Kerrygold has expanded beyond butter with a new cheese collection now rolling out to stores across Ireland, timed for summer entertaining. The brand staged a three-day tasting pop-up in Dublin that drew large queues and handed out more than 1,500 sample boxes.

Long lines for a free taste

The “Say Cheese, Think Kerrygold” pop-up opened at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin from July 14 to 16. Shoppers turned up each day to try the complimentary tasting stations and sample the new offerings.

Organisers reported strong footfall throughout the weekend, with visitors queuing for the chance to sample Kerrygold’s latest range. The brand distributed over 1,500 cheese boxes during the event.

What’s in the new range

Kerrygold’s launch includes a total of 15 products across block, sliced and grated formats. The line-up covers several maturity levels, from mature and reserve to vintage cheddars, as well as red and white cheddar varieties.

There are also bolder options aimed at more adventurous palates, including versions flavoured with cracked black pepper and red chilli. Each format is presented with a distinct flavour profile to suit different uses, from melting on burgers to grating over salads.

Engagement and giveaways

Alongside tastings, the pop-up featured a photobooth for visitors and offered spot prizes of branded merchandise. Attendees could win items such as caps, T‑shirts, tote bags, stickers and keyrings.

The activation was designed to introduce the expanded cheese range directly to consumers and build awareness as the products become available nationwide.

The new Kerrygold cheese collection is now appearing on shop shelves across Ireland, providing more options for home cooks and barbecue season menus.
