Messages of sympathy
Condolences posted on RIP.ie recall Zach as warm, kind and memorable. One friend spoke of a “special bond” from their teenage years, while others described him as a gentle presence who brightened rooms.
Several contributors reflected on school memories and the shock of losing someone they grew up with so young.
Flood’s previous remarks about her stepson
Pamela Flood has spoken warmly about Zach in the past. Ahead of her 2014 wedding to Ronan, she told the Irish Independent that he had made “being a stepmum an absolute pleasure.”
She described him then as a loving young man who wears his heart on his sleeve, adding that anyone who met him would agree he was one of the loveliest children you could encounter.
