Ireland will remain relatively warm into next week, but the sunshine that marked parts of the past week is unlikely to be consistent nationwide. Met Éireann expects temperatures to stay mostly in the high teens to low 20s, while clouds, drizzle and scattered showers will shape much of the weather.

Saturday (August 15) should be dry for most areas with a mixture of cloud and sunny spells. A few light showers are possible, mainly across the west and north, and cloud will thicken from the west during the evening.
Daytime highs will vary, from about 15–16°C in the northwest up to roughly 23°C in the east and southeast. Overnight into Sunday, most places will be mostly cloudy with some rain and drizzle spreading in from the west and minimum temperatures around 10–14°C.
Sunday and early next week
Sunday is expected to be largely cloudy with scattered rain and drizzle and only brief bright breaks. Mist and some fog are possible, though stretches of the south and east may remain dry. Maximum temperatures should reach between 16°C and 22°C, with the coolest conditions in the north.
Sunday night will be mild and chiefly dry, with a few spots of rain or drizzle and lows of about 12–16°C.
Monday outlook
Cloud is likely to give way to humid air, with rain and drizzle mainly persisting in northern areas through the morning and into the afternoon. Heavier, more persistent rain is forecast to move in from the northwest later on.
Across the country, highs are expected roughly between 17°C and 21°C in Connacht and Ulster, and about 20°C to 25°C in Munster and Leinster, where the better spells of sunshine are most likely. Monday night will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, sometimes heavy over the northwestern half, becoming patchier as it spreads southeast. Minimums should stay near 13–17°C.
Rest of the week
Met Éireann says the pattern will be mixed through the rest of the week: periods of rain or showers interspersed with drier intervals. Temperatures will generally be cooler in the northwest and warmer in the south and east.
From midweek there are indications that a fresher, northerly airflow could take over, bringing a more classic mix of sunshine and showers for several days.
