Ballyvaughan Village is located in the West of Ireland in County Clare. Situated at the corner of The Burren region along the Atlantic coast.


History of Ballyvaughan

Ballyvaughan welcomes many visitors each year, many arriving to explore the wonderful Burren region, an area of limestone famous for its caves, underground streams and rare alpine flora.

Located nearby is Newtown Castle, a distinctive 16th century fortified tower house built originally for a branch of the O'Briens.

A visit to the Black Head area is a must, with its magnificent views of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands and the wonderful Cliffs of Moher.

Ballyvaughan is a perfect base for touring County Clare with the Burren on its doorsteps, Ailwee Cave nearby and also having the added bonus of being located on the coast.
