History of Newmarket-on-Fergus

Newmarket-on-Fergus is surrounded by area steeped in history of riches and splendor. The town received it's English name from Lord Inchiquin, he named it after the horse racing centre in England. In the area is the magnificent Dromoland Castle which is open as a top class hotel.
