Aloft by Marriott has opened its first hotel in Northern Ireland, docking in Belfast’s redeveloped Titanic Quarter. The launch brings a new midscale option to the waterfront and is expected to support more than 70 jobs in the area.

The 135-room property features loft-style guest rooms with views across the Titanic Quarter and the harbour. On-site food and drink options include Re:Fuel, the brand’s grab-and-go outlet, and the W XYZ Bar, which serves cocktails, varied cuisine and hosts live music in the evenings.

The hotel is positioned to serve visitors attending events at the SSE Arena and tourists visiting the Titanic Belfast exhibition. The wider Titanic Quarter development has drawn around 3.6 million visitors a year after more than £650 million in investment.

Close to Belfast’s main attractions
Sited about two miles from Belfast city centre, the hotel places guests within easy reach of civic and cultural landmarks. Belfast City Hall and Crumlin Road Gaol sit a short distance away, as do Titanic Studios — known for major television and film production — and family-focused attractions such as the W5 Science and Discovery Centre and the W5 LIFE digital learning facility.

The Aloft opens alongside the new Residence Inn by Marriott Belfast Titanic Quarter, creating a dual-hotel development on the same site. The Residence Inn offers 93 studios and one-bedroom suites designed for extended stays, each with a fully equipped kitchen and separate living, work and sleeping areas.
