Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel Collection has added two new wellness experiences — a dedicated reformer Pilates studio in Killiney and an outdoor sauna with an ice bath in Avoca — expanding its health-focused offerings for both guests and local residents. The moves reflect rising interest in experiential, wellbeing-led stays and build on the group’s existing leisure facilities.
Pilates studio at Fitzpatrick Castle
The new space, branded The Studio at Fitzpatrick’s, is a purpose-built six-bed reformer Pilates studio located at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Killiney. It supplements the hotel’s current leisure amenities, which already include three padel courts, a fully equipped gym, a 20-metre indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a programme of fitness classes.

The Studio will run two class formats: Reformer Foundations, aimed at complete beginners to familiarise them with the reformer and its basic movements, and Signature Reformer – All Levels, a full-body session focused on strength, posture, balance and mobility.
“Guests are no longer just looking for somewhere to stay, they’re looking for experiences that help them switch off, recharge and feel better when they leave than when they arrived,” said Mark Scott Lennon of Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. “Wellness has become an increasingly important part of modern travel and we’re seeing growing demand for experiences that support both physical and mental wellbeing.”
Sauna and ice bath in the Wicklow countryside
At Woodenbridge Hotel & Lodge in Avoca, Co. Wicklow, the group has introduced an outdoor sauna paired with an ice bath. The facility is designed to let visitors relax and reconnect with nature amid the surrounding Wicklow landscape.
Joseph Scott Lennon of Woodenbridge Hotel & Lodge said the facilities respond to an uptick in demand for contrast therapy and mindful downtime. “We’re seeing growing interest in sauna and ice bath experiences as more people look for opportunities to slow down, recharge and focus on their wellbeing,” he said. “The new facilities are a natural fit for Woodenbridge, giving guests a chance to relax and recover after exploring the Wicklow countryside, walking local trails or enjoying a round of golf.”
The Studio at Fitzpatrick’s is now open. To mark the launch, an introductory three-class package is available for €60.
