Roonagh Pier and lifeline links
Among the named projects, repair work at Roonagh Pier in County Mayo will receive funding. Roonagh is a principal departure point for ferry services to Clare Island and Inishturk, and local officials have described the pier as vital for routine travel and island supply chains.
Securing investment for the pier is expected to reduce disruption to services and support more reliable connections between the islands and the mainland.
Community funding and policy context
