Tourism Ireland

The Kerry Bog Village, located on the beautiful Ring Of Kerry gives you a fascinating insight into how people lived and worked in Ireland in the 18th Century. The village is the only one of its kind in Europe and is one of Kerry's leading tourist attractions. Great care was taken to ensure the dwellings that visitors see before them, are exact replicas of those used in Ireland in the 1800's. The village is located in vast Bog land, visitors will learn about the bog, it's wildlife, and equipment used to extract the turf. The Village contains four period thatched cottages and an old blacksmiths forge. The cottages contain furniture from the era and figurines to re-enact the times. Ideal for families and tourists with spacious parking and a restaurant and bar onsite.
