An attractive village overlooking Derrynane Bay.

Derrynane National Historic Park: Covering 300 acres of forest and encompassing Derrynane House, the residence of Irish patriot Daniel "The Liberator" O'Connell (1775 - 1847), who won Catholic representation in Parliament in 1829. The well-preserved house is now a museum filled with personal belongings of the famous owner.
Staigue Fort: The largest pre-christian stone fort in Ireland overlooking the sea. Built for defensive purposes this fort is over 2,000 years old and encloses a space of 30 yards.
