Short Comedy Film Festival dedicated to the memory of Charlie Chaplin.Charlie Chaplin visited Waterville for many years with his wife Oona and their children, according to members of the Chaplin family, Waterville afforded him a tranquil haven where he could enjoy spending time with his family in relative anonymity. Many locals remember him strolling along the seafront promenade which runs along the centre of the village, his privacy always respected. One of Chaplinís favourite pursuits while in Waterville was fishing on Lough Currane.
