Loughrea Village is located in the West of Ireland in County Galway. Situated on the shores of the beautiful Lough Rea.

History of Loughrea

The area is rich in archaeological finds. The Famous La Tene Turoe Stone is situated 4 miles from the town. The Turoe stone stands 4ft high and has been shaped and carved to form a ritual object. The megalithic structure known as the Seven Monuments is located nearby which comprises of a circle of seven stones set into a low circular bank near the remains of a square chamber tomb.
