Guide to attending The Cure at Marlay Park

Show summary Hide summary

Fans of The Cure will gather at Marlay Park on Friday, June 26, as the long-running British band brings a string of classics to Dublin. The concert arrives as the group—fronted by Robert Smith and still active after more than five decades—continues to draw large crowds across Europe.

Support acts announced

The headliners will be joined by a selection of guests chosen to warm up the crowd. Scottish post‑punk outfit The Twilight Sad and Irish alt‑rockers Just Mustard are among the names confirmed, alongside local band Stella and The Dreaming.

Timings and entry

Gates open at 4pm and the event is scheduled to start at 5pm. Organisers note that the last admission to the venue will be at 9.30pm; the exact time The Cure take the stage has not been published.

What the band might play

The Cure have not released an official Dublin setlist, but their performance in Newport on Sunday, June 20, offers a strong indication of the songs likely to feature. Robert Smith has attributed the band’s longevity to persistence and consistency. “I think people admire us, even if they don’t particularly get the music. It sounds very conceited, but it’s not about me; it’s about the band. We’ve stayed true to ourselves. I think people admire our tenacity,” he told The Guardian.
