Overwhelming response to Kodaline’s farewell tour leads band to announce final hurrah

Kodaline, who announced they would split in October 2025 after more than a decade together, will close their farewell tour with a final Dublin concert. The band will headline the 3Arena on Friday 18 December, delivering one last home-country show for Irish fans.

Recent farewell appearances

Before confirming the Dublin finale, the four-piece — fronted by Steve Garrigan — played two high-profile farewell dates this summer. They performed at Cork’s Virgin Media Park on 19 June and at Malahide Castle in Dublin on 20 June.

Both shows drew large crowds and enthusiastic responses, prompting the group to extend their tour by one last national date.

Why the 3Arena was chosen

The band said the decision to finish the tour in Dublin came after the strong reaction to the Cork and Malahide dates. In a statement, Steve Garrigan alongside Vincent May, Mark Prendergast and Jason Boland wrote: “After the overwhelming response in Dublin and Cork, it just didn’t feel right to walk away without doing one last show in Ireland to close our farewell tour in December.”

They added: “We felt we owed it to the fans who have supported us from the very beginning. The 3Arena has always been a special place for us, and with our final album also coming out in October, it feels like the right time to celebrate the songs, the memories, and everything we’ve shared together over the years.”
