Irish influencer Louise Cooney has revealed she is expecting her second child, and her three-year-old son Jude was the one to share both the pregnancy news and the gender. A short home video posted on Wednesday night captures the family’s intimate announcement and shows that Jude will soon have a little brother.

Toddler leads a simple, sweet gender reveal

The clip opens in black and white with Louise and her husband Mark Sweeney seated on a sofa while their son plays on the floor with a wooden box. Jude reaches inside and pulls out a toy car; when Louise asks, “What colour is it?” the footage shifts to colour and the car is revealed to be blue.

The moment confirms a son is on the way. In the post caption Louise described her child as having been “a great little messenger the last few months.”

Pregnancy first announced on holiday in Clare

Louise first shared that she was expecting during a short break at the Armada hotel on Spanish Island in County Clare, a property run by Aoibhín Garrihy and John Burke. A later post included a scan image held up against the sea, accompanied by the caption: “Blessed and excited to do it all again.”

She confirmed the baby is due in the coming months and wrote plainly about the family milestone: “Jude is gonna be a big brother later this year.”

Friends, fans and high-profile congratulations

Responses from other influencers and friends arrived quickly. Several left messages of congratulations, including Lauren Arthurs who wrote “boy mom”, and Niamh O’Sullivan who commented, “Aw Louise wow, huge congratulations.” Aoibhín Garrihy and other public figures also sent best wishes.

The family has shared much of the journey publicly. Louise and Mark, who met online during the Covid pandemic, have been a couple for five years. Their son Jude was born in November 2023, and the couple married at the five-star Cashel Palace in County Tipperary in November 2025.
