Fontaines D.C. have confirmed two headline shows at Slane Castle next summer, following their first-ever headline slot at Electric Picnic. The Dublin band hinted at a Slane appearance while performing at Stradbally; organisers have now announced official dates and supporting acts.
Two nights at the historic venue
The group will perform at Slane Castle on Saturday 26th June and Sunday 27th June. A second date was added after strong demand from fans.

Those concerts make Fontaines D.C. only the third Irish act to headline Slane. They are the first Irish band to top the bill there since U2 in 2001 and Thin Lizzy in 1981.
Support line-up and ticket details
Support for the weekends includes Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey, and contemporary-folk group Madra Salach. Organisers released the line-up alongside the date announcement.

Pre-sale tickets for Fontaines fans go on sale from Tuesday, 1st September. General sale via Ticketmaster opens on Thursday, 3rd September at 10am.
Tickets are priced at €89.25, a figure that includes the booking fee and a €1 donation to charity Focus Ireland.
Slane’s pull and public attention
Slane Castle has a long history of landmark concerts, with previous headliners such as Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Oasis drawing large crowds.
The venue is already in the spotlight for another reason: the recent, dramatic return of the television series The Traitors Ireland, which has kept public interest in Slane high ahead of next summer’s shows.
