Model Holly Carpenter has spoken publicly about a miscarriage she experienced earlier this year, saying the loss came months after her wedding to Jamie Hunt. The news coincides with her recent signing to a new agency, First Management.
What happened after the wedding
Carpenter married Jamie Hunt in May 2025, holding a legal ceremony in Dublin and later celebrating with a destination wedding in France. She told the Sunday Independent that not long after those events she discovered she was pregnant, but the pregnancy ended at about six weeks.

On the loss she said: “In February I did get pregnant. And then I lost the baby. I’m fine, but it’s just when you say it out loud.”
Her reaction and the practical details
She described being surprised at how quickly she felt attached and excited after seeing the positive test. Carpenter recalled an immediate urge to change routines and habits — from diet to exercise — once she believed she was expecting.

As she put it: “As soon as I saw the pregnancy test, I was like, ‘OK, right, I’m going to start doing this, and doing that, and eating more fibre, and getting my steps in’.” She added that the experience was “eye opening” in terms of how emotionally invested she became almost immediately.
Stress and the wider context
The 34-year-old said she felt stressed and anxious following the miscarriage, noticing pregnant women more frequently and finding that experience painful. “I was so stressed at the time. I felt I was seeing pregnant women everywhere I went after that happened,” she told the paper.
Carpenter also said she found some comfort in recognising that miscarriage is common, though that did not remove the emotional impact. “This is something that so many women go through,” she said, while acknowledging how personal and difficult the loss felt.
